Fitness that fits into your life - and creates a legacy of health
Motherhood changed my priorities …
And with that, my “why” also changed. I needed a bigger, deeper reason to prioritize fitness — and that became my daughter. I pushed myself to work out because I knew it was important that she saw me moving my body.
I remember the moment I realized that she is looking to me as she writes out her handbook of life. She is watching, listening, observing and taking part in all of the things I do.
I don’t want her to look at herself in the mirror and wonder if there’s something wrong with her body. I don’t want her to have to change her body to feel beautiful in a dress, bathing suit or shorts. And I don’t want her to connect being bad or feeling shame with eating certain foods.
I want better for her and her generation.
I want her to love her body and move it from a place of gratitude, celebration and joy. I want her to have a healthy relationship with food that allows her to enjoy many types of food and prioritize eating nutrient dense foods that provide her body with the energy, vitamins and minerals that it needs to function and feel it’s best, but never feels restrictive.
There is nothing wrong with wanting to lose weight, wanting to feel good in the clothes you wear or turning down a sugary food. What matters is the mindset around them. The context and dialogue (whether it’s external or just a thought to yourself), that go along with these actions determines if it is healthy and SERVING YOU … or unhealthy and holding you back.
Which is why I am so passionate about helping women in this season of life…
Not only learn how to strengthen their bodies so that they can feel good again, but also create a routine and mindset that allows them to show up, HOW THEY WANT, for themselves and their family.
my philosophy
An inside out approach
I am passionate about helping people build a positive mindset around nutrition and fitness so that they can not only reach their goals but enjoy the process.
Fitness starts with a mindset and encompasses not just how we move our body, but what we fuel our body with. This includes the food we consume, the words we listen to and accept as our own beliefs, and the thoughts we have from the moment we wake up to the moment we fall asleep.
To change your body, you must first change your mind.
